Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a raffle ticket from the South Zanesville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. (“SZVFD”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. 

Eligibility

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to purchase tickets and claim any prizes.
  • By purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
  • This raffle is open only to residents of jurisdictions where such raffles are legally permitted. Void where prohibited by law.

2. 

Ticket Sales

  • All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including raffle delays, cancellations, or participant error.
  • Confirmation will be sent to the contact information provided at checkout. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure accuracy.

3. 

Drawing and Winner Notification

  • Prize drawings will occur during a Facebook Live.
  • The winner’s first and last name and ticket number will be posted publicly on SZVFD’s website and Facebook page.
  • Winners will also be contacted via the phone number or email provided at the time of purchase.
  • Winners must present a valid government-issued photo ID to claim their prize.

4. 

Prize Claim Process

  • Prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the raffle conclusion.
  • Unclaimed prizes after this period will be forfeited and may be retained or re-raffled at SZVFD’s discretion.
  • SZVFD is not responsible for shipping costs, damages during transit, or lost items if winners request delivery of a prize.

5. 

Large Prizes and Vendor Products

  • Certain prizes (e.g., vehicles, high-value items) may not be purchased until the raffle has sold. As such, availability and pricing are subject to change.
  • Some items may be fulfilled by third-party vendors. SZVFD is not responsible for any delays, damages, shortages, or fulfillment issues from these external suppliers.

6. 

Substitution of Prizes

  • SZVFD reserves the right to substitute any advertised prize with one of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability or pricing changes.

7. 

Privacy and Public Disclosure

  • By purchasing a ticket, participants consent to having their first and last name and ticket number publicly disclosed if selected as a winner.
  • All other personal information (email, phone number, address) will be kept confidential and used only for raffle-related communications.

8. 

Trademarks and Brands

  • All trademarks, brand names, or logos associated with prizes remain the property of their respective owners. SZVFD does not claim endorsement or affiliation.

9. 

Raffle Modification or Cancellation

  • SZVFD reserves the right to delay, suspend, modify, or cancel any raffle at its sole discretion for any reason, including but not limited to low ticket sales, technical issues, legal concerns, or emergencies.
  • SZVFD reserves the right to hold side raffles as well on any items that have stalled out in sales or are not selling at all.

10. 

  • Winners are responsible for any and all federal, state, or local taxes or fees associated with their prize unless noted otherwise on the raffle.
  • By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless SZVFD from any liability related to the raffle, including participation or prize usage.
